Happy Birthday KayKay!!!

Happy Birthday KayKay! We love and miss you and hope you have a great day!!!

A very fun day...

Samuel has been in Milwaukee for the past five days (for work), so Anna Claire and I loaded up and went to see Gran and Papaw Saturday. They were having a Fall Festival at their church (West Laurel Baptist Church) and Anna Claire had a blast! She jumped and jumped and jumped and jumped, until they deflated the thing down around her and she was screaming her head off! She was not scared of the big kids, she just tried to imitate everything they were doing.

Miss Big Stuff checking out her punch card to see how many more times she could ride the ponies!

Running, running, and more running... putting on a show!

At the state fair last month, she refused to ride the ponies, but she was feeling brave today and rode three or four times. She was lovin' it! She cried every time I made her get off and kept returning to ride again. I only got pictures of this one pony, but I think she rode them all! She would keep pointing until the man would put her on the one she wanted to ride.

We had a great day, but we sure are ready for Daddy to come back home!!!

Our conversation this evening...

Me: Anna Claire, why did you take your clothes off?
Anna: Puts her hands in the air like "dunno"
Me a few mintues later: Anna, where is your diaper?
Anna: Garbage
Me: Why is your diaper in the garbage?
Anna: Cuz
Me: Your diaper is not dirty, you have to wear a diaper
Anna disappears and comes back with the diaper: Dirty momma (not a dirty diaper, by the way)
Me: We'll put on a clean one, okay?
Anna: Ok, riiiiiight back (with her finger in the air indicating I need to hold my horses)

She came back with the diaper, which again I emphasize was not dirty or wet and laid down for me to put it on her. I swanny. What am I going to do with this girl???

Christmas pictures!

A little early, but I wanted to share a few pictures from the Christmas Tree Farm Saturday with Katie! Anna Claire was not in a great mood, but Katie managed to get some cute ones anyway!

Anna Claire says...

Anna has started saying a new phrase and I thought I should update everyone. She reaches up her little hands and says "I wanna hold you." Translated, this means, "I want you to hold me." It is so sweet! When we pick her up she just loves on us and lays her head down. She still says "I love you, too" which is my all time favorite and I hope she never stops saying that to us! In the mornings, when I am leaving to take her to Peggy's and Sam is leaving for work, she tells him she loves him and says "careful." There is no sweeter sound than that little voice!

A few pics...

Anna Claire is so funny to me! She certainly thinks for herself and is very independent. She was fully dressed yesterday morning last I checked, then she came in to the kitchen saying "naked", wearing nothing but her diaper, my necklace, and some Dora band-aids on her poor little scraped knees! This is actually a rarity, because she usually strips down to nothing except her diaper and shoes. I can't believe she didn't have a pair of shoes to match this outfit!

Saturday Kay-Kay and Gran came up to go shopping at Mistletoe Marketplace with me! We had a great time and found lots of goodies! After the shopping extravaganza we had a photo session at the Christmas tree farm with Katie Stafford of Mary Moment Photography. She is great and you can check out her website at www.marymomentphotography.com These are a few pics as we were getting ready and Anna Claire was NOT in the mood. I will post the pics from the Christmas tree farm as soon as I get them!

We tried to get one of Anna and Sam in his hunting gear, but yet again, not in the mood! She has been particularly difficult lately when it comes to taking pictures!!!

Playing at the park!

These are terribly out of order, because this first pic is of her being frustrated with me for taking so many pictures. I took her to the park this afternoon while Daddy was out hunting and snapped a few shots. She had fun playing with all the other children there!

First attempt to slide...

This is the face I go when I told her we had to go home soon!

She was quite brave and even slid down the big slide by herself. She is really shocking me lately with her sense of adventure!

Love this "chillin"pose!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BANNON!

A GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOES OUT TO UNCLE BRANDON!!! HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT DAY, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! YOU DA MAN!

problems

just in case anyone reads this anytime soon, i am having problems editing my blog... be patient with me, this is all new to me!

Happy Halloween!

Last night, of course, was Rankin County's early "trick or treat" and Anna Claire did it up right! She was dressed like a princess, so she expected to be treated like one! She rode in her car the entire night, held out her pumpkin at each house, then put it back on her arm like a purse so that it was easily accessible for getting her "canny" out. She was not overly impressed with the whole thing, but was a good sport, nonetheless. Sam, Aunt Kristi and I took turns hauling her all over the neighborhood and she ate canny the whole way.

This was her favorite stop, believe it or not. She loved the scary witch and waved to her and told her "bye" for a whole block!

Eating canny.

More canny.

Looking for more canny.

Found more canny.

Where's all my canny?

Aunt Kisti, give me that canny!

Only pic I got with Anna holding her magic wand!

I did get one of Dad and the magic wand!

The fairy princess had a great night!
