Funny little girl...

I know I have been more than terrible at blogging, but my computer at home is down and I think we may have lost our hard drive (which had ALL of Anna Claire's pictures on it, so I am devastated!!!) I am going to try to catch up on a few funny things about her...

Over the holidays Anna Claire and I did our fair share of shopping. So much so that if I ask her on the weekend what she wants to do, the automatic response is "go shopping, mama." Do not even attempt to stroll past a shoe section of ANY store without letting her try on, and usually buy a pair of shoes. She loves shoes, purses, and particularly "lips or lip goss." She will scream bloody murder if she doesn't have some sort of chap-stick/lip gloss/lipstick at any given moment. She loves to put "lips" on anyone and everyone, so watch out! I don't think I was that prissy. I think she gets it from staying at Peggy's around Sara Scott, Hayleigh and Carleigh. She is definitely a girly girl.

A couple of weeks ago Anna Claire and I decided to go take Daddy out to lunch! After lunch, we went by the office to see all of his co-workers. She was not really in the mood to be very sociable, but when we left, after she had already said her "bye-bye Daddy," I said "bye, Sam." A few steps down the hall we go and little miss copy-cat yells out "bye, Sam" down the hall, met by rolling laughter from all "the boys."

Sam got the ladder out the other day to change out the air filter and Anna asked him "whatrdoin?" which is her run together form of what are you doing. He told her what he was going to do and she smiled the sweetest little smile and looked up at him to say "be careful." She melts us, she truly melts us.

I was home from work one day just to spend the day with Anna. I thought I might as well be good for something since I was home and it was too cold to get out much, so I cleaned. You know how you really have to make a mess to thoroughly clean something? I had pulled everything out of the bathroom and was scrubbing the floor when miss hot stuff comes to the door, hands on hips, and says "who made this mess?" I busted out laughing and promised her I would clean it up. She responded "okay" and went back to playing with her toys in the living room. Who made this mess????

Our #1 addiction at this time is the movie Madagascar. I do not exaggerate when I say we have probably watched this movie, or at least had this movie on, at least 100 times since Christmas. She has plenty of other movies, great toys, fun things to do, but that dad gum movie has to be played ALL the time!!! She calls the movie "lion" and says "wanna watch lion" over and over and over again until we eventually give in. Terrible, I know.

Necessary STILL: We still have a pacy, though not used nearly as much as it used to be. We have thrown it away a couple of times, but we are very weak and bring it back out to make our lives easier; we already regret it, no need to tell us!!! Anna Claire still carries the big brown blanket that was originally called "bay" then progressed to "bankie", but is now called "brown" because she also carries two other blankets these days. What in the world? Her small blanket, that is perfect for lugging around (IF it was the only would she would carry) is called "blue" despite the fact that it is obviously a PINK blanket. She also has another BIG blanket that is pink and is called "pink." One day I asked her what color the brown blanket was and she said "brown." I asked her what color the small pink blanket was and she said "pink." So, naturally, I said "why do you call it blue?" and she answers, quite matter of factly, "because, mama, because." Makes perfect sense to me...

Ha ha ha to them all!!!! She is the most precious. So, I guess she didn't even hardly look at the camera for pics that day. Poor baby just wants to be left alone, ha
