problems

just in case anyone reads this anytime soon, i am having problems editing my blog... be patient with me, this is all new to me!

Happy Halloween!

Last night, of course, was Rankin County's early "trick or treat" and Anna Claire did it up right! She was dressed like a princess, so she expected to be treated like one! She rode in her car the entire night, held out her pumpkin at each house, then put it back on her arm like a purse so that it was easily accessible for getting her "canny" out. She was not overly impressed with the whole thing, but was a good sport, nonetheless. Sam, Aunt Kristi and I took turns hauling her all over the neighborhood and she ate canny the whole way.

This was her favorite stop, believe it or not. She loved the scary witch and waved to her and told her "bye" for a whole block!

Eating canny.

More canny.

Looking for more canny.

Found more canny.

Where's all my canny?

Aunt Kisti, give me that canny!

Only pic I got with Anna holding her magic wand!

I did get one of Dad and the magic wand!

The fairy princess had a great night!

As I blog...

As I catch up on some of my blogging, my little monkey keeps coming in to check on me. Can you believe she is still awake??? 10:03 p.m.

Things she says...

Some of my favorite things she has said recently...
Last night she looked at me and said, "momma...shake booty." Then she ran around the house shaking her little booty all over the place and thinking she was hilarious!

The other night I had my foot on the coffee table and she wanted me to let her by, but I was aggravating her and wouldn't move. She said "cuse me" with attitude. I couldn't help but crack up.

She loves to brush her hair, her doll's hair, my hair, Sam's hair, etc. She says "wanna brush hair."

She used to call her blanket "bay" for the longest time (probably for about a year). All of sudden one day "bay" became "bankie." Sam thought this was such a sad day because of how fast she is growing up! We do miss the days of "bay," but love all the new things that come out of her mouth!

One afternoon when I picked her up from Peggy's we were walking to the car and she said "momma, hold hands." These were the sweetest words I have ever heard!

She always wants to talk on the phone. She says "wanna talk phone." She'll talk to anyone now. She doesn't quite have it down pat, yet, though. There is a lot of nodding the head that is difficult for the person on the other line to interpret! She holds the phone up to her ear with her shoulder, because she is just that cool! She has gotten to where she can hold quite a conversation, given the right mood.

I had a Region 8 event last week and when I got home I was very tired. I yawned really big in front of Anna Claire and she said "are you sleepy?" So cute, so cute!

My little potty trainee...

Utter shock and disbelief is the feeling Sam and I had Tuesday night! I was busy putting up the laundry, he was busy washing dishes, and Anna Claire was sort of just following us around and mumbling. Neither of us was paying her a whole lot of attention and then she disappeared. The next minute, Sam hears her calling "Daddy, Daddy." He finds her in the bathroom, on her potty, no diaper, and reaching for the toilet tissue. Much praise followed. After some investigation, we realized she had taken off her pants, taken off her diaper, thrown it in the trash, gone tee-tee in the potty and all she needed help with was reaching the toilet paper. NOW, honestly, we have not been working with her on this. We have actually been neglectful because when she asks to go potty if we are in a hurry we will tell her to use her diaper. I know some of you have just gasped for air on that statement. We know how bad we are. We are changing our ways, I promise. Smart little girl, right? I know my Mother says I use this blog to brag, but that's what it's for!!!

By the way, you have to have "bankie" in order to be successful...

It's hard work...

Takes a lot of concentration...

We love visitors!

Papaw had a meeting in town and came to stay with us Monday night! Anna Claire eats up the attention Papaw gives her. She was so sweet, she ran to him when he came in and the next thing out of her mouth was "Gan?". She knows that Papaw and Gran go together!

Aunt Toni was also in town Sunday and Monday! We had so much fun with her and miss her so much! I love these next two pics of them playing together before Toni left.

Love you, Aunt Toni!

Boo at the Zoo!

Saturday night we went to "Boo at the Zoo" which turned out to be lots of fun!

Anna Claire and "The Great Pumpkin"

Our monkey...

This takes a little explaining... Chris Williams, one of Sam's good friends from work is a Star Wars fanatic, to say the VERY least. He and his buddies were dressed up as characters, which TERRIFIED Anna.

This is her "if I don't look at you, you can't see me" pose. She stayed this way for a long time while we were talking to Chris!

She has ridden numerous carousels, but for some reason, she LOVED it Saturday. She cried when she had to get off the zebra! She was just feeling adventurous, I guess.

Speaking of adventurous... Anna Claire loves to jump, so we thought we'd let her get in one of the jumpy things. I thought Sam could go in with her, but I was quickly informed "NO ADULTS." We thought it was over at this point, because she is generally a chicken by nature, but NO. She wanted to jump and got in there all by her little self. She jumps about five or six times and then kicks those little feet out from underneath her. That's her only trick, but it's a good one...

Taking a spill, but lovin' it!

We also saw another Forestry Suppliers friend, Mr. Joel and his little "Black-eyed pea" Parker! He was so cute! I didn't manage to get a picture of Anna Claire and Parker because she was being so shy. Don't know what gets into her sometimes!

Inky the Clown

Lil Boo!

ELMO!!!

Saturday was our fun day with Anna Claire and we had a blast! We went to see "Elmo Makes Music" at the coliseum and Anna loved it! A few pics before the show...

The "free" ($8) balloon that her Daddy had to buy for her!

I have never seen her pay attention to ANYTHING for that long...

Overall, she loved the show. She got tired towards the end, but Sam and I were yawning too. Every time Elmo would go off stage she would call him to come back. He is definitely a hit around our house!

Funny little girl...

Our funny little girl likes to hide in the cabinets... at least the ones that aren't full of pots and pans...

I was cooking dinner the other night, and she was wanting my attention,so I turned on "Dora" thinking that might keep her busy. She starting fussing because she wanted me to get Dora out of her toybox. I got her out and she was so sweet, she shared her drink with Dora and brushed her hair while she watched the show.

By the way, she has not grown out of the sitting in the fridge thing. She loves it! Every time we open it, she high-tails it to her seat!

She was not mad at me at all...

Anna Claire loves make-up! She got into my purse and got some lipstick last night, which she calls "lips." She did not want me to take these pictures and she was not at all happy with me because I took it away. I had to add these, because I think they are hilarious. She also took my keys (had to use a spare to get to work today) and my driver's license. Guess she was planning on going out for the night...

Pouting! Poor baby!

She looks so crazy in this picture! Scary!

Still pouting...

Trying her best to avoid the camera... doing a pretty good job!
